wget https://go.skype.com/skypeforlinux-64.deb

 

Step 2: Install the downloaded package  

  • Type the following command to begin installing the package. 
sudo apt install ./skypeforlinux-64.deb

 

Step 3: Launching Skype application 

  • On the Ubuntu desktop home screen, click on Activities at the top-left corner. 
  • In the Search bar, search for Skype and click on the Skype icon to open it.
